There are no rules or regulations about taking videos during a test. It's up to the owner of the private facility. Now if it was a state facility you absolutely can record.

I have an " Arc Captain " it's gassles flux core and stick welder . I run it off of my 220 plug and for structural with 6010 it's pretty good, not great. The reason I say not great is because you have to bury the rod into the weld . If for whatever reason, you have to stop in the middle of a weld , it's either hard to strike an arc or the rod will stick and catch fire before you can release the stinger from the rod . But it pinetrates and it's fast .

I had a welding business for about 7 years. I agree with all the job opportunities listed. Probably 70% of my work was architectural: railings, AC cages, gates, and security doors. The only thing I would add to the video is that I repaired a lot of trailers and lawn equipment. I am getting close to retirement and I am going to start welding again part time.
